HOW TO identify the plant density in any planted tank or aquarium

Identify the plant density in any planted tank or aquarium. The Heavily, Mildly and Least Planted tanks could be estimated. If:

  • at least 1 plant per square inch of the substrate over an area of a minimum of 24 square inches is present; it could be considered a Heavily Planted Tank.
  • at least 1 plant per 2 square inches of the substrate over an area of a minimum of 24 square inches is present; it could be considered as a Mildly Planted Tank.
  • at least 1 plant per 4 square inches of the substrate over an area of a minimum of 24 square inches is present; it could be considered as a Least Planted Tank.

These estimations though may not be considered the hard-set rules, could be helpful in estimating the dosage of products like OZPOLISH Bio-Scape. In general, aquarium plant trimming in Heavily Planted Tanks would frequently be needed in comparison to the other two.
